Everyone has heard of Simu Liu, the actor who made history when he took the role of Shang Chi in “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, making him the first Asian superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Handsome, charming, and with a hot bod – what’s not to love?
Imagine the surprise of BLINKs when they discovered that Simu Liu is also one of them. And just like everyone else, out of the four super-girls in the BLACKPINK girl group, the popular Marvel actor has a bias on which K-pop starlet he prefers.
During a recent interview, the “Kim’s Convenience” star was asked to pick a favourite from BLACKPINK. The girls are super talented, beautiful, smart, and charming, so it’s hard to pick one person. Previously, he mentioned that he’s a fan of all the girls, but more specifically, Jennie and Lisa. This doesn’t come as a surprise, since both of them are amazing rappers and dancers.
“It’s definitely between Lisa and Jennie. I feel like I like both of them. Just seeing them live, they’ve got such a swagger. Just such an ease on stage, but also the ability to command a stadium of tens of thousands of people, that is not easy to do. Seeing the both of them, they’re just killer,” the “Blood and Water” actor said.
Just over a month ago on 19th November, the actor also took the time to attend BLACKPINK’s 2022 Born Pink World Tour concert in Los Angeles. Along with a couple of other friends – Jubilee Media CEO Jason Lee and girlfriend Allison Hsu – they enjoyed their night dancing to BLACKPINK’s iconic hits.
After being pressured, the Chinese Canadian actor eventually revealed his BLACKPINK favourite. Although not easy, he said, “I will say for me, my bias is Lisa“. Will we see the two be friends one day? We’d love to see them in a friendly rap battle 😉
