New Year’s is just around the corner, y’all – and whether you’re celebrating alone or with your loved ones, it’s time to PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR! A New Year’s Eve party wouldn’t be complete without some booze, so what better way to end the year on a joyful note than with these New Year’s Eve cocktails?
Whether you’re a fan of champagne, or you’re more of a vodka or gin person, we’ve got you covered! Here are some New Year’s Eve Cocktail recipes that are easy to make and will get you groovin’ through the night!
1. Negroni
Sometimes, you just need something classy to get the job done. A classic negroni is a 1:1:1 cocktail, and it includes equal parts gin, vermouth, and Campari. This drink is strong enough to last you all night long, so you don’t need to be mixing drinks all night long. This cocktail contains a higher ratio of alcohol, with a light bitter gin taste.
Here’s the recipe:
1½ oz. Gin
1 oz. Carpano Antica Formula vermouth
¾ oz. Campari
1 orange
Stir the gin, vermouth, and Campari in a mixing glass for around 30 seconds, make sure it’s filled with ice. Then, strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into a glass filled with ice. For garnish, you can go for thin orange slices for a splash of citrus flavour.
If you want something that will keep you awake rather than make you sleepy, this cocktail is the way to go. It’s the perfect drink for you to get buzzed up, while also feeling a bit energised. Though it’s got a good amount of alcohol in it, it’s still very drinkable, thanks to the coffee flavour that disguises the alcohol – so make sure to keep an eye on how much you’re drinking!
Here’s the recipe:
1 shot of espresso or cold brew concentrate
1 oz. Coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa or Mr. Black
½ oz. Simple syrup
1½ oz. Vodka
Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake vigorously for around 15 seconds to completely chill the hot espresso and create foam. Double strain the concoction into a coupe glass. Cover half the top of the glass with a paper towel and dust the other half with espresso or cocoa powder. Lastly, garnish the other side with coffee beans.
A New Year’s Eve party would not be complete without champagne! Get the party started with this tall glass of bubbly with a dash of lemon. It’s quick, it’s simple, it’s an elegant drink that tastes amazingly bright.
Here’s the recipe:
Brut champagne
1 sugar cube
2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters
Lemon twist
Place a sugar cube in a chilled champagne flute, and lash it with 2 to 3 dashes of Angostura bitters. Then, fill the glass with brut champagne. Squeeze a lemon twist on top for flavour, and then use it as garnish.
