BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) officially kicked off their “Born Pink” world tour with a bang with a two-day concert in Seoul over the weekend. As expected, the quartet put on a fantastic show! The show was also packed with celebrities who were spotted attending the show.
One of the many celebs who attended the Seoul concert includes Minnie (민니), a member of the girl group (G)I-DLE. Interestingly, the Thai idol, alongside former CLC member Sorn met up with Lisa (리사) and presented her with a special gift – a necklace made of cash notes!
Minnie took to her Instagram yesterday (Sunday, 16th October) to share a few pics and video of her meeting the Thai starlet at the concert venue. “Congratulations. We are proud of you,” she captioned her post. In one of the photos, Minnie and Sorn also placed a necklace made of 10,000 won bills (~RM32), held together by pink ribbons, around Lisa’s neck.
Lisa herself was surprised by the unexpected gift brought by the duo. In the video, the “Money” rapper was also seen bursting into laughter upon receiving the special present. Many fans were entertained after seeing the cute interaction between the two famous idols. They left comments such as, “I love this friendship”, “Best friends forever”, and also “A pretty girl standing next to another pretty girl.”
Similar to their previous world tour, the concert features solo stages of each member. During the concert, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa set the stage on fire with their amazing performances. However, it was Jennie who ended up drawing the most attention from fans around the world. The female idol debuted a special performance of an unreleased track called “Dancing In The Moonlight”. This has apparently infuriated a few fans, namely Sooyas (fandom name of fellow member Jisoo).
For those who are curious, Jisoo performed the cover of the song “Liar” by Camila Cabello. Despite the phenomenal performance that the duo delivered during the concert, it appears that some fans are bitter with the fact that Jisoo still hasn’t released her own solo single. So far, three out of four BLACKPINK members have released their solo tracks, with Jisoo being the exception. Many BLINKs felt it isn’t fair that the girls got to perform their own singles while Jisoo was stuck with a cover version.

On the other hand, Jennie’s fans (referred to as Jensetters) were quick to defend the “Solo” singer. They pointed out that with Jennie’s exceptional talent and stage presence, there’s nothing wrong with her getting a new solo song after four years. Among the highlights include:
- “Jisoo was so lit this time! Too bad it’s only a cover.”
- “Jennie performing an unreleased song is the best of best.”
- “I can’t help but feel sorry for Jisoo. She’s still covering songs while her groupmate already received a new song.”
- “You guys keep comparing solo songs, but Jisoo was the female lead for an entire drama! She also said that she’s not in rush for a solo debut.”
- “Jennie’s last solo was 4 years ago, it’s about time she returns.”
- “Jennie’s stage was truly out of this world. The song deserves an official release!”

Regardless, we really think both Jennie and Jisoo slayed during their solo stages!
