Owning a Datuk title shows that you have a very respectable position within the Malaysian community. It is proof that you have done something good for the community. So, being accused that you did not do any of that, is just plain absurd.
After what seemed like a long while, actress Datin Fouziah Gous finally broke her silence about her most recent scandal. To answer everyone’s question; yes, her husband, Datuk Zhafran Md Yusof does indeed own the Datuk title in his name!
According to Oh My Media, the actress and entrepreneur of FG Walet said that there is no need to prove that her husband owns the honorary title in the first place. The actress then explained that her husband had all the official documents and certificates from Istana Pahang back in 2016 before attending the istiadat (ceremony) in 2017.
“I told my husband not to answer any questions. Why do we need to prove anything when we have the appointment letter, card, and everything in black and white? If it is not displayed in the system, why do you ask us? Of course, we ourselves want to know how it could happen, but we don’t want to continue to fight. There should be a system, and I’m sure there are many more people out there who have that title but their names are not in the system,” said the 39-year-old.
In support of Datin Fouziah Gous, another actress named Sara Sajeeda has requested that the individual who doubted the Datuk titles in the first place should go and re-check their facts with the appropriate responsible parties. At the time of writing, the person responsible for raising this issue goes by the name of Ahmad Aliff on Facebook. This netizen still appears to be hunting down fake Datuks and Datins all over Facebook.
The actress then added, “When you want to make a passport, or (if) you want to make an identity card, do you think it will be that easy to place the (Datuk) title? Ask yourself, how is it possible? I used to joke with my husband about the title, but when I think about it, how could we get away with it when we went to the Immigration Department?
We don’t want to show all the documents and deeds involved. It seems to question the credibility of the existing system. We also can’t, because there are many things that are sensitive and people nowadays like to manipulate (photos). I’m afraid to say more.”
Do you believe what the actress is saying? Or do you think she should still provide more evidence for her statements?
