September has been a very blessed month for national badminton shuttler Aaron Chia (谢定峰). Earlier, Aaron and his partner Soh Wooi Yik managed to nab the World Championship title. Then, on 16th September, Aaron held his long-awaited wedding ceremony with his beloved wife, Mei Qi!
Although the ceremony was held almost two weeks ago, the couple only recently released their wedding photos. They certainly showed them looking radiant and excited for their special day. However, the show might have just been stolen by their two daughters!
The couple had announced news of their marriage after the 2022 BWF World Championship in Tokyo, Japan. Mei Qi had explained then that it was the perfect time since Aaron had a slight break this month, thanks to the Asian Games being postponed.
Actually, Aaron and Mei Qi had already registered their marriage in March 2020. However, their wedding was delayed till this year. Needless to say, it was a beautiful ceremony that celebrated the couple. But, of course, they couldn’t leave their daughters out. And as children do, they managed to steal plenty of hearts!
The two children were dressed in beautiful white dresses embellished with lace and tulle. Although the couple walked the carpet alone, the kids still managed to get plenty of photos with their parents. Their eldest daughter even got a photo opportunity with YouTuber group 3P (3Production). “I just found this photo. My daughter is (already making friends with celebrities)!” Mei Qi quipped in an Instagram Story.
Well, we’re certain the couple are very happy that they got to have their wedding. As Mei Qi poignantly put it, it was a “special and memorable day” for them. It must have been made more special by their children’s presence! We sincerely wish them health and happiness as they continue their lives together.
