Some say our fate is written in the stars. But, others are equally as determined to forge their future with their own hands and reach for said stars. Take model Denice Lam (林卓錡) for instance. As a former Miss Hong Kong contestant, and daughter of TVB actor Wilson Lam (林俊贤), Denice has had a lot to live up to!
Denice has been garnering a lot of attention, mainly because of her participation in Miss Hong Kong 2022. This is her second attempt at the pageant, as she had joined once before. She may have gotten the cut early last time, but now, Denice has made it to the finals and is determined for things to be different.
The 27-year-old is taking her participation seriously as this is her last shot at the beauty pageant. For those not in the know, the cut off age for Miss Hong Kong is 27. Denice took the competition by storm, even becoming an early favourite of the pageant. However, the model was quick to specify that her participation had been with her father’s blessing and support.
Although Denice initially participated under her current name, Denice Lam (林卓錡), she is now choosing to take up the competition under her given name 林钰洧 (Lin Yuwei). From her socials, it’s easy to see that Denice is more than ready to take on the finals of Miss Hong Kong, which is slated to happen on 25th September.
Denice has gathered quite a following since her last participation in the venerated pageant. This has also been helped by her entry into the entertainment industry. In fact, most fans will recall her appearance on the horoscope show “Abracadabra (对号入座)”.
Denice had admitted then to having five sexual partners, with Scorpio men being her favourite. “He is not only tall and handsome, (he) also has plenty of moves and persistence in bed,” she reportedly said. “If you have a relationship with a Scorpio, you will need a lot of physical strength.” The actress claimed a Scorpio could go for a long time in bed, leaving her dizzy and sweaty. Needless to say, it certain seared Denice’s image into many minds.
It’s certainly admirable of Denice to try for Miss Hong Kong again. We wish her all the best as she prepares for the finale of the pageant and hopes she will be proud of her efforts!
