Bartenders, it is your time to shine! Heineken Malaysia Berhad’s (HEINEKEN Malaysia) Star Academy is on a nationwide search for the best Guinness bartender through their yearly Guinness Perfect Pour programme.
From 22nd August to 28th September, bar staff from across six states—Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, and Ipoh—are welcome to attend the training sessions. The first and second place winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Dublin, Ireland, the birthplace of Arthur Guinness.
The programme seeks to train 600 bar staff in the art of the Guinness Perfect Pour to uphold the Guinness standard of service in the food and beverage industry in order to provide consumers with the best-tasting glass of Guinness on top of an exceptional drinking experience.
This year, the programme will take a more immersive approach, with participants embarking on an interactive guided tour with hands-on experience learning about the prestigious brand’s origin, ingredients, and serving rituals, as well as mastering the six steps of the perfect pour. Start honing your bartending skills now, because participants will be tested and graded on their knowledge and abilities.
“The six steps in the Guinness Perfect Pour technique bring out the perfect flavour, aroma, and presentation, making sure that every Guinness fan gets to cheers to a perfect serve, every time. Hence, we are calling for our partner restaurants, pubs and bars to join us in this year’s Star Academy Guinness Perfect Pour, and together we can serve world-class Guinness across the country,” said Vasily Baranov, Sales Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia.
The top seven scorers will be invited to the award ceremony in October, where one lucky participant will be crowned the Guinness Perfect Pour 2022 champion. If you don’t make the top seven, don’t worry; all participants will receive a Guinness Perfect Pour 2022 recognition plaque trophy as well as an official certificate proving they completed the training.
So, do you have what it takes to provide the high-quality experience that the brand seeks? If you’re interested to participate, you can sign up here or contact 013-3370878.
