Janna Nick has never been shy when it comes to opening up about her mental health struggles. Previously, she detailed on how her parents’ divorce took a massive toll on her while growing up during an interview with a local portal.
Through her recent post on Instagram, the local actress discussed on how her laughter is used as her coping mechanism. Janna shared a video of her detailing her past struggles while growing up during a heart-to-heart session with actor Zain Hamid on his YouTube podcast show “3SixtyK”.
“My mom and dad got divorced when I was in standard 3, I was 9 years old at the time. (Afterwards) They asked me, ‘Who do you want to stay with?’, to which I responded by asking them to send me to an orphanage,” Janna told the Ruffedge member, before bursting into a loud laughter.
Commenting about this on her IG post, the “Gatal” singer wrote, “That laugh was awkward, LOL. People always assume that when I laugh, I will laugh loudly. I’m an extrovert and I love being the center of attention. I annoyed them. Whereas, that’s my coping mechanism. If the situation is awkward, the question doesn’t seem enticing, and the joke’s not funny, I’ll laugh first.”

“People thought that I was insensitive,” Janna added in her long post, before clarifying, “But, people’s opinions don’t matter (to me) anymore. I’m fine with people treating me like trash. My advice, don’t treat other people like that too, okay.” She then closed her caption by urging her followers to be kind to one another in order to make the world a better place. The comments section has since been flooded with many followers of the former “Melodi” host leaving uplifting remarks for her.
