Athletes for example, would want smartwatches that can track their workout, training and maybe even customise according to their preferences. Sports enthusiast, you’re in luck as Garmin recently introduced new smartwatches to their Forerunner series that may hold the answers to all your questions.
Earlier this week, Garmin Malaysia launched two new GPS running smartwatch series made specially for running and sports enthusiasts, the Forerunner 255 and the Forerunner 955 series. The Garmin Forerunner 255 comes equipped with an added full triathlon support while the new Garmin Forerunner 955 series introduces its first solar charging watch.

Forerunner 255 Series
The Forerunner 255S and Forerunner 255S Music use less time charging with up to 14 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and up to 30 hours in GPS mode. Both watches are available in 41 mm sized cases while the Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 255 Music are available in 46 mm cases.
Price range: RM1,730 – RM1,970.
Forerunner 955 Series
The Forerunner 955 Solar was unveiled at launch event, in conjunction with the Global Running Day. The smartwatch is built with an easy to read full-color display and a touchscreen that complements the traditional 5-button design. The Forerunner 955 also allows fast access to everyday health features, easier control of maps and more.
Equipped with a Power Glass solar charging lens, the smartwatch gives athletes up to 20 days of battery life in smartwatch mode1 and up to 49 hours in GPS mode2.
Price range: RM2,470 – RM2,970.
