Is Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza open to hiring bodyguards for her two tiny tots, Siti Aafiyah and Muhammad Afwa? Apparently, the legendary superstar still has no plans on bringing in personal protectors for her family as of yet.
Speaking to Harian Metro recently, Siti said that she has yet to come up with the decision. However, according to Siti, it all depends entirely on the consent and decision of her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa (or Datuk K).
“So far, not yet (hiring bodyguards for her kids). But I’ll leave it all to my husband,” Siti told the local publication. “I don’t even use the bodyguards’ service all the time. I only bring my bodyguard to certain events in order to ensure my safety while performing on stage.”
During the chat with the press, Siti also talked about how she juggles between being a mother and a famous superstar entrepreneur at the same time. According to the “Ku Milikmu” singer, it’s not easy to manage every single thing at the same time. “Being a working mom is not easy. I don’t want to put pressure on myself and just go with the flow. I’m trying to do everything I can,” Siti said.
“There were also times when I feel tired. Only God knows what I felt at that moment. But I don’t want to make excuses for the breakdown. I just think positively, and thankfully, all of my family members are quite understanding,” she added during the interview. At the same time, Siti also expressed her gratitude to those who have always provided their help and support in managing her work, both at home and also at work.
“I’m not a perfect mother. I still have flaws and there’s still a lot to learn,” Siti was quoted as saying. “I’m relieved there are people behind me who are very supportive. In this case, the support system is especially important. There was a time when I came home late and the children were already asleep. I feel sorry for them.”
“I think this is my responsibility, and I will try to divide my time with my family as best I can. My husband also told my management team to loosen up my schedule. He told them that I should have at least three days a week of rest and spend time with the family at home,” the “Anugerah Industri Muzik” winner shared with the media.
For those in the dark, Siti and Datuk K have been married for more than 15 years now. The sweet couple officially tied the knot in a grand “Wedding Of The Year” ceremony back on 21st August 2006.
