Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza has cemented herself as one of the top artists in Malaysia since entering the music scene more than 20 years ago. Despite all the fame and fortune she achieved throughout the years, a lot of people may not be aware that the public figure has sacrificed a lot – including time away from her loved ones.
TikTok fan page Sitizoner recently uploaded a snippet featuring the iconic singer in an interview session. In the video, TokTi gave a heartfelt speech dedicated to her beloved family members, namely her husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa (aka Datuk K), her mom, Siti Salmah Bachik, as well as her two bundles of joy, Siti Aafiyah and Muhammad Afwa.
TokTi began the video by thanking her partner for granting her permission to continue her career as a singer. The “Kau Kekasihku” singer got all choked up at the mention of her two kids and her mother. “To Afwa and Aafiyah, forgive me because I’ve been busy with work. And to my mom, Siti Salmah, I love you. You’re always in my heart although we hardly see each other,” she said in the clip.
The replies section on the TikTok posting has been flocked with plenty of remarks left by fans of the award-winning songstress, who were mostly touched by the singer’s speech. “I feel you, TokTi. I’ve always felt guilty for not spending enough time with my mom and also with my kids,” one commentator shared. “I couldn’t hold back my tears after watching Siti cry,” another social media user chimed in.
