Former Miss Asia Pageant 2021 participant Sit Yeng Yi (号佳丽) is now going international. Previously, her agent Connie Lam alluded to plans of bringing Yeng Yi to Malaysia. Well, those plans have been realised. The lauded artist landed in Malaysia yesterday (19th June)!
Yeng Yi (aka Ah Yi, 阿仪) had to take a long break thanks to a lawsuit involving kicking someone for filming her without a mask. However, she is now back in action as one of ATV’s artists. Her first gig in Malaysia? A fan meet-and-greet with some delicious durian!
Media company Asia Momentum Media (AMM 亚洲心动娱乐 (马来西亚)) has been keeping Yeng Yi’s fans updated on her itinerary. On 17th June, they announced a competition to meet Yeng Yi. In addition to getting the chance to meet her, a few lucky fans would also get to enjoy some durian.
The competition was simple enough. Like and share the post, comment something you would like to tell Yeng Yi, and tag three friends. However, it was a tight competition as there were only 10 spots left with the deadline being 19th June. Nevertheless, several fans tried their luck.
The names were announced yesterday with further instructions about their personal details. These twenty fans will be meeting Yeng Yi tonight (20th June) at 8pm in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Other netizens left congratulatory messages in the comments section, with some expressing their jealousy at missing out on the opportunity.
Well, if you didn’t manage to nab a spot, we wouldn’t be too upset. According to an earlier interview with her agent, Connie, Yeng Yi will be staying in Malaysia for a while. Additionally, she will likely be doing more shows and publicity stunts in the future.
