Humans, no doubt, have carnal desires. However, what happens when people take it too far? Recently, a 36-year-old woman in Hong Kong was filmed having sex on the balcony of a flat in a high-rise building – in broad daylight! Netizens have since identified the housing estate as K. Summit, a luxury residence at Hong Kong’s former Kai Tak Airport.
An onlooker, who witnessed the whole steamy episode, uploaded a 17-second clip online that has since gone viral. It didn’t take long before the viral news caught the attention of the police after making headlines.
While some find it amusing that the woman and her male sex partner chose to do the deed for everyone to see, others frowned upon their indecency. A few lawyers even commented that public sex is deem as illegal (under the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance). If found guilty, the pair in question could be fined between HK$1,000 or jailed for up to six months.
According to various reports from the Hong Kong media, the woman is a tenant of the flat in Kai Tak. She was arrested by Sau Mau Ping officers and released on bail. She is required to report back to the police next month. On the other hand, it is understood that police had also conducted a citywide search for the male partner. No word yet if he has since been caught.
While the naked couple were definitely in the wrong by taking their intercourse to the balcony, others argue that the person who filmed it and released it should also be arrested.
