The legal drama involving YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk (양현석) has been ongoing for years now. Yesterday (Monday, 30th May), The Seoul Central District Court finally held its trial for the charges made against the ex-CEO. He has been indicted on charges of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (threat of retaliation).
Yang and his attorney was present during the trial and questioned Han Seo Hee (한서희), who attended as the witness. During the cross-examination, new claims about his relationship with the former K-pop trainee was also brought to light. Yang’s lawyer stressed that both of them met about 10 times at an upscale prostitution bar run by “Madame Jung”.
The legal rep then revealed text messages between the duo after Han claimed to “have been afraid of Yang Hyun Suk”. It is said that they first met as a client and a high-end escort, and began texting each other afterwards. Additionally, the lawyer revealed that he even actively did Han favours by sending tickets to YG artistes’ shows to her house. She’s also said to have called him Yang “oppa”.
Han then responded by revealing that she was afraid of Yang when he called her into YG Entertainment’s office after she dropped B.I’s name back in 2016. But as the lawyer continued to insist that she wasn’t threatened, the 27-year-old got riled up, saying, “It was ridiculous. I wonder why I was afraid of that trash.”

He’s not worth of being afraid of. I should’ve cussed at him back then. It’s my biggest regret. I was scared because I almost knew what I would hear (from Yang),” she added. Han later apologised for her emotional response after the court pointed out her attitude during the cross-examination could undermine her case.
The fifth trial of the ongoing case was originally scheduled to take place on 16th May. However, it was postponed on the same day as Han was apparently feeling under the weather at that time.
