According to Arnaud Sauret, Chief Executive Officer of Decathlon Malaysia, “This concept is a first test for Malaysia and also first in the world in Decathlon History”. In regard to adapting to the local sport market and making sport accessible to more sports lovers in Malaysia, he explained “As Decathlon Malaysia, we adapt our business model to Malaysia and Malaysians. We launched our production “Made in Malaysia”, we do business with Malaysians, we complete our exclusive offer – yes, we design and conceptualise our own products with a R&D centre of 300 designers and 850 engineers – with our local partners which projects across our products and services. We achieve our mission, locally, and we are different in this market.”

Decathlon’s new flagship store aims to give customers the best and holistic shopping satisfaction. The store will give customers the chance to test and buy sports products on the spot, while at the same time discover and practice it at the premises. Sports classes, assistance of physiotherapists and healthy food are also available on the site.

Customers are urged to join the MY Decathlon Club by Arnaud as Decathlon aspires to build a sustainable sporting community through this flagship store. With three Decastudios available partnered with Manic Studio by Evomania and Hot Yo Studio, Decathlon is keen to give members a world-class workout experience. What’s more, Decathlon also partnered with Protech, Evomania Nutrition and Garmin to give customers the best of other sporting brands.

The new Decathlon Sports Experience Centre will prioritise the comfort of their customers with specially designed bathrooms and changing rooms that allow them to cleanse their body and mind in luxurious comfort. Two medical rooms are also available by Physiowerkz – a Movement Dysfunctions Centre ready to tend to pain, disabilities, and other movement related problems.

The centre utilises Physiowerkz Movement Analysis and Treatment System (PMAT). It has been designed to accurately diagnose and help patients understand what sort of treatment their body needs. Full body check-ups will also be available to customers to help them achieve maximum performance while engaging in their favourite sports.
