TVB actor Stephen Wong Ka Lok (黃嘉樂) may be famous for his acting skills. But, he’s equally known for his long-time relationship with wedding photographer Samantha Kong (江惠賢).
The duo have been seeing each other for five years with many sweet moments in between. And it seems the time has finally come for them to tie the knot! Yesterday (5th May), Stephen announced he had proposed to Samantha!
The reveal was made through an Instagram post commemorating their 5th anniversary. “I may be late to participate in your past,” Stephen wrote. “But your future must include me!” He also excitedly included tags claiming Samantha as his fiancé.
Samantha’s response to him on Instagram was equally sweet. “Congratulations! I’ll give myself to you!” she said. “I have always been in a male-dominated industry. In the five years by your side, I can be a lazy and unreasonable woman. Looking forward to the days when you can continue taking care of (us).”
They included photos of Samantha posing with a teardrop shaped ring and some photos from their pre-wedding photoshoot. As this is literally Samantha’s line of work, some wondered if she felt the need to take over the shooting for her own engagement shoot. Stephen shared that she did not as they had gotten her company to do the shooting. “We arranged for three photo (concepts),” he said. “It felt special.”
Congrats to the happy couple! Although no wedding date has been set yet, we’re sure they’ll be planning it soon. In the meantime, we look forward to seeing them tie the knot!
