Two months ago, actress and singer Janna Nick released her single “Gatal” and it gained international attention that even recently, Seoyeon (서연) from K-pop girl group Fromis9 posted on TikTok using the song. Janna previously shared on her Instagram about the song going viral in Russia.
The official music video for “Gatal” gained 6.8 million views, 169k likes and almost 9k comments on Janna Nick’s YouTube channel. When a song becomes a hit, you know there’s bound to be a remix. The 27-year-old just recently released a Hari Raya version of the song called, “Gatal Raya”.

The official audio of “Gatal Raya” by Janna Nick was posted on Warner Music Malaysia’s YouTube channel last Friday (22nd April). The lyrics for the song has been completely re-written to fit the Hari Raya concept and according to the actress, the remix took about 2 hours to record.
Since the release, “Gatal Raya” gained 51.2k views and 1.7k likes on YouTube. Netizens have previously criticised Janna for her singing especially when she performs live. So now with the release of the new remix of her hit “Gatal”, what do netizens have to say?
Comments on the “Gatal Raya”‘s official audio have been mostly positive. Fans of the original version praised the song for being just as catchy while others were surprised that a song about a perverted and unfaithful man can be remixed into a fun Hari Raya song.
While reactions for both versions of the song have been mostly positive, there are a few negative comments about the song and there were also those who criticised Janna’s live vocals. The “Istikharahku” star performed “Gatal” live several times where she received comments by netizens on YouTube telling her she should stick to acting or enroll in vocal classes.
