Some of us may be experiencing Monday blues again, given that the week is just starting. However, we’re sure you all had a wonderful weekend, either spending time with family, destressing by yourself or even going shopping as a treat!

Speaking of shopping, this lady’s supposed weekend shopping certainly took the cake. She was seen buying a Louis Vuitton bag at a store. What made her stand out however, was the fact that she paid in cold, hard cash.

A video of the incident was posted in the Facebook group “马来西亚人” yesterday (24th April). The person who uploaded the video claimed the bag had cost RM21,000. “She really has cash,” they commented. “To be honest, not many can afford it. Just looking at it is good enough.”

The short clip showed the woman taking bundles of RM50 out of her handbag and placing them on the counter. There had already been several stacked on the counter. Another clip showed her counting out one wad of cash while the person filming laughingly thanked her. The lady also asked the cashier doing the transaction about her total, to which he replied “RM21,000“.

The last few seconds simply showed the wads of cash stacked and lining the counter, along with a brief shot of the bought bag. Netizens however questioned the lady’s logic. They pointed out that most did their transactions cashless nowadays. “No cards?” one asked emphatically. “Why???” Another comment observed that most people used either credit or debit card to pay for such purchases. “It’s better to give them coins and let them count it out one by one,” another said sarcastically.

Well, that’s certainly one way to flex, we suppose. However, do take note that carrying large amounts of cash isn’t advisable as it could invite potential trouble.
