We’ve had plenty of weddings over the past two weeks. From much-awaited Korean stars, Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin’s marriage to Joe Chen’s quiet union with Malaysian artist Alan Chen, it’s been a busy time. Well, our very own local talents are about to join the party.
Malaysian artist Choo Hao Ren (朱浩仁) announced amazing news yesterday (7th April). After dating YouTuber and influencer Gladish Chan (陳祤琹) for five years, Hao Ren finally popped the question. She said yes!
The duo are currently in France for work purposes. However, Hao Ren saw an opportunity to finally propose to Gladish, and he did it with the beautiful Alps in the background. He definitely had this planned as the camera crew were in on it too.
Hao Ren started by declaring that he had an announcement. Gladish, ever supportive of her boyfriend, played along although she hadn’t a clue what was happening. However, clarity came when Hao Ren fatefully said, “Today is my day. I want to ask permission from my girlfriend.”
The singer knelt in the snow with a small red box and held it out to Gladish. “Will you marry me?” he asked, once in English and another time in Chinese. Gladish was at a loss for words, but smiling brightly, she nodded before screaming, “Yes! Yes, I do!” The duo shared a quick peck on the lips before they broke away. Gladish had a huge smile on her face and looked as though she couldn’t believe her day had finally arrived.
Hao Ren later shared on his socials that he has been waiting for this moment for a long time. “From the first time I met her, to getting to know her more intimately, I have always (known) that she is the one,” the singer wrote. “Because of our age, I wanted to wait for the right time to do it.” Gladish herself broke the news with a simple post stating, “Yes, I do!”
Fans have been waiting for their marriage since forever. The two have always been sweet on each other and have supported each other through thick and thin. Although many have been expecting the couple to finally tie the knot, no one knew when it would come, least of all Gladish herself.
Congrats the the happy couple! We’re definitely looking forward to hearing wedding bells from the duo.
