The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur hotel introduced their first family-friendly themed buffet known as HYdeout back in December 2020 and it’s been a success ever since. HYdeout has grown in popularity since the days when it featured classic themes like ‘Spookyville’ and ‘Dinotopia’.

Since HYdeout’s current theme, ‘Dinotopia,’ is now coming to an end, the Grand Hyatt hotel will debut an all-new unique theme on 9th April, featuring Malaysia’s most beloved award-winning cartoon series, Upin and Ipin!

We reckon that the significance of ‘Kampung In The City’ theme will make a favourable impression on both local and international guests, as it does on us. We are honoured to work with Les’ Copaque Production, Malaysia’s pioneer animation production company, also the creators of Upin & Ipin, to have this vision set sail into what we believe will entail a grand sense of connection for families to circle back to what ‘kampung’ adventures are all about,” said Olivier Lenoir, General Manager of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.

Founder, Managing Director and Producer of Les’ Copaque Production, Haji Burhanuddin Md Radzi said that it is a privilege to collaborate with Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur for HYdeout’s new theme as they are able to bring the elements of Upin & Ipin come to life beyond the screen.

HYdeout’s brand-new ‘Kampung In The City’ theme honours the essence of Upin & Ipin through all that the themed sanctuary has to offer from an all-you-can-eat buffet to interactive games and entertainment like traditional games, ‘wau’ painting, carnival booths, 3D walls, movie screening, and more. Not only that, the kids will get to meet Upin & Ipin themselves!
