Travelling has been made difficult with the Covid-19 pandemic still happening. Even though travelling interstate is allowed now, some of us long for the day we get to travel abroad as freely as we can like the good old days.

But that’s not to say there aren’t any interesting places to visit right here in our own backyard. If you ever wanted to visit China, this may be the closest thing you’ll get to experience the vibe of being there.

Located in Anjung Floria, Presint 4, Putrajaya is Taman Persahabatan Malaysia-China which will make you feel like you’re actually there in China without actually being there! Talk about cheap and safe travels! Apparently, not many know about this place or why it was built, so here’s all you need to know about Taman Persahabatan Malaysia-China.

Taman Persahabatan Malaysia-China is said to have been built back in 2017 as a reminder of the 40 years of friendship between Malaysia and China. This park is designed with ‘Lingnan-styled garden’ elements and is complete with other Chinese elements such as mountains, water, rocks, buildings, calligraphy and plants. Every corner of the park is very ‘Instagrammable’ for those of you who love to take pictures.

With photos like these, there’s no reason for Taman Persahabatan Malaysia-China to not be well-known than it is now.  Tranquility can be felt as soon as you step into the gate which is ‘guarded’ by two 200-year-old lion artifact. The sound of water flowing in the pool facing the entrance feels as if it’s waving a welcoming rhythm to every visitor who steps in. The gentle wind will bring visitors to China which is famous for its architecture and landscape.

The Taman Persahabatan Malaysia-China was developed on 0.24 hectares of land at the FLORIA permanent site at a cost of RM1.5 million. For those of you who have never been here, maybe now is your chance to experience travelling abroad right in your backyard.

Now if you want to step foot in Japan, there’s actually a Taman Persahabatan Selangor-Jepun but we’ll probably talk about that in another article.
