In accordance with the Lunar New Year, New Balance is participating in the celebration by releasing a whole new collection inspired by one of the lines from Siegfried Sassoon’s “In Me, Past, Present, Future Meet” poem.
“In me, the tiger sniffs the rose,” is the whole inspiration for this new collection’s concept. New Balance plays with tones and colours for the Lunar New Year collection to promote the tiger’s fearlessness along with hints of its subtle gentleness to younger generation fans.
In this collection, New Balance have decided to feature 3 of their signature designs of 57/40 series, 327 series, and the bold XC-72 series. All of these series are revamped with the boldness of the tiger in the visible striking designs.
The 57/40 series is available in deep tranquil blue with pink highlights, which is one of the auspicious colours of Lunar New Year. Accentuating the intricacy even further, dark green highlights are also used on the signature N on the sides. This chic but softer series is available at RM519 per pair.
If you’re opting for a more elegant design and colour palette, then the 327 collection is the one for you. Nothing screams elegance than the colour combination of black and beige. Not only can you be elegant with the 327 series, but you will also have a sense of determination and bravery alongside of that with the splash of tasteful red. The 327 series will only cost you RM499 per pair.
While for the XC-72 series will make you look more rugged as this series has incorporated elements of tiger stripes intertwined with the natural palettes of the earth. The tiger stripes will remind the wearer to always be bold, courageous, and fearless. But you know what’s our favourite part of this collection? The suave suede used to give off a sense of nostalgia.
