McDonald’s Makes A Large Sacri-fries As Large French Fries Currently Unavailable!

One of the things that we love at McDonalds is their French Fries. They’re nice to eat by itself, but also goes well with the vanilla ice cream (yes, sue us for the combination!). That is why we tend to upgrade to the large set when ordering.

However, if you’re thinking of going to McDonald’s today and get your hands extra greasy by upgrading to a large meal set for extra fries, you’re in for a disappointment.

McDonald’s announced yesterday (24th January) that they are facing a French Fries cut starting on the same day until further notice. The announcement was made through their official Instagram page with a whole load of puns on French Fries. (No, McD, don’t try to compensate your lack of potatoes by making us laugh.)

They captioned the short video clip to announce their shortage of supply chain, saying, “We are facing a fry-tening supply crunch on French Fries. But fret not. While you can’t Go Large for the time being, you can still enjoy your favourite meals and fries in Medium size. Time fries… It’ll be back before you know it.” Okay, maybe we are entertained by the puns, but it is still a large sacri-fries for us potato lovers!

But, don’t worry. You can still get your favourite meals medium sized, or maybe make it two if one medium fries can’t satiate you! No judgement, really, because we know this outage is a global thing. Apparently, we’re not the only one struggling with this problem. Even McDonald’s Japan is currently facing the same issue; they have resorted to sell only small sized French Fries for the time being, yikes!

According to The Rakyat Post, the global shortage comes from the supply chain delays all the way in Vancouver, Canada — where our favourite versatile vegetable comes from. But we do hope time fries, so we can get our large French Fries back.

Guess we’re making each fries count for now!
