It hasn’t been long since Wang Leehom (王力宏) shocked the world with an announcement of his divorce. Although many had been suspecting it, his breakup with former wife Lee Jing Lei (李靚蕾) still came as a surprise.
Now that the cat’s out of the bag on his divorce, netizens have been curious as to why they broke up. Some say Jing Lei couldn’t get on with her mother-in-law. However, yesterday (16th December), someone claimed Leehom had been cheating on BY2’s Yumi (孫雨) long before he married Jing Lei.
The couple officially announced their divorce on 15th December. It was a sad day for many fans as the two had seemed like a forever-couple when they first met. Ironically, their bubble was further busted when someone claimed Leehom was actually seeing Yumi before marrying Lee Jing.
The person claimed to be best friends with girl group BY2 and wanted to share about Yumi and Leehom. “I don’t think I can stand it anymore,” they wrote. “Wang Leehom had cheated on (Yumi) as early as Leehom’s relationship with his wife, but he said that he didn’t want to have a relationship.” The whistleblower stated they assumed it was because Leehom was afraid of relationships. However, when Leehom announced his engagement to Jing Lei, the netizen claimed Yumi realised she was just a side-girl.
Apparently, Yumi wasn’t able to let the issue rest. She continued keeping in touch with Leehom. Additionally, she allegedly sent nude photos of herself to Leehom to “please him”. “I think boys are (actually) scumbags, but (his) image is well maintained,” the netizen wrote. “That’s why nobody knew.” As proof, they included photos of Yumi and Leehom. Although Leehom and Yumi are both clearly in the photos, fans suspect it might be faked.
Both group’s agencies have since responded to the matter. They claim it is false. BY2’s agency clarified that the photo was from Leehom’s celebration banquet in 2013, held after his concert. “The (netizen) only took separate (photos) of the two and spread the rumour,” they stated. Both Leehom and By2’s agencies have stated they will be taking legal action against the false rumours.
Leehom has requested his family be left in peace after the divorce announcement was made. However, there were some who clearly didn’t get the memo. We’re sure Leehom and Jing Lei don’t need more trouble right now. Hopefully, netizens will let the issue die down after this and leave it to the ex-couple to sort out their own matters.
