Congratulatory messages are in order for Hwang Chansung (황찬성), the youngest member (or as fans call it maknae) of the K-pop boy group 2PM, who is about to start his own family soon!
The idol-actor revealed that he’ll not only be walking down the aisle with his non-celebrity GF, but the couple are also expecting the arrival of their first child together! In addition to the happy news, Chansung also stated that he’ll be leaving his record label JYP Entertainment next month.

The cold winter season is already here. I began activities when I was 17, and 15 years have passed already. A lot has happened, and there have been many memories. I express endless gratitude to Hottest for these precious memories. Today, I’m telling you about changes and happiness that’s happening in my life.
There is someone who I have been in a relationship with for a long time. This person has been the resting place for my unstable heart, as well as a friend who I can share anything with for a long time, and we eventually dated.
While preparing and planning our wedding following my military discharge, the blessing of a new life (baby) came to us earlier than expected, and we are planning to get married as early as the beginning of next year. We are very cautious as she is in the early stage of her pregnancy, but I am sharing this news as I thought that I should tell you first. I ask for your understanding that the person is not someone in the same field of work as me, so I will not disclose any more information.
Also, my contract with JYP Entertainment, whom I have been with for 15 years, is set to expire in January 2022. With the start of my new family accompanied with a new life, I had discussions with the company to set out on my own path. We agreed not to renew our contract together.
Above all, I made the decision by sharing that my future comes first, and the company also wished me well for my future. We will always support each other’s development and growth as we are like old friends who go a long way back. I don’t have an exact plan yet, but I want to tell you all not to worry.
