Football is one of the most common sports played in our community. You can always see kids and youngsters playing football at the housing area’s field.
If you love the local football scene, you would know how closely related MILO® is with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). They have been partnering since the 1980s – 1990s. But we haven’t really heard much from the two of them recently, no?
Recently, MILO® and FAM officially announced their partnership that will last for five years in the future. This is really bringing back memories! The partnership of MILO® and FAM has always been one of the largest aspect at the grassroot level of the Malaysian football industry. It has provided the ladder for many notable names to climb their way up in the field.
Now, with this five-year game plan between MILO® and FAM, they are trying to bring the Malaysian football scene to another level, especially the future generation. They are hoping to be able to provide more and better platforms for the young to showcase their talents in this field. Which currently, mostly are discovered through community coaching programmes.
This partnership is committed in coming up with 800 Suparimau academies that helps in coaching and producing a total of at least 100, 000 fresh young players. Another notable feature of the partnership is the MILO® All Star Challenge; a nationwide online hunt for Malaysia’s best freestyle footballer. The top eight finalists were rewarded with the MILO® x FAM Ultimate Experience to train at FAM training camp along with some of their favourite FAM footballers, coached by national coaches.
How exciting is that?
We hope MILO® and FAM partnership will continue to prosper and help the football scene in Malaysia to grow even bigger and better!
