Nur Fazura has issued an apology to local post-rock band, Deepset, for apparently using their song in a promotional video for her hijab brand Tudung Fazura without their consent.
For context, the band earlier took to their official Twitter to call the actress-entrepreneur out. In addition, they’ve also asked for the parties involved to “kindly remove the song” from the commercial.

Soon after, the individual responsible for the commercial video quickly came forth to clear the air on the issue. The user, @UncleSoya, explained, “Mrs. Fazura didn’t know about this. I’m deeply sorry for using your song without permission. I will discuss with my team to change the background music.” For those wondering, the commercial clip is no longer available on all social media platforms.
The “Gol & Gincu” actress also took to her Instagram to publicly apologise to the band over the mishap that took place. She wrote, “I would like to humbly apologise to @deepset on behalf of my editor for using your song without your permission in our latest campaign video for @tudungfazura. We appreciate you reaching out to us, and the video has since been deleted on all our platforms.”

The homegrown musical ensemble then responded by thanking Fazura and the team for their cooperation. “We have resolved the matter peacefully. We wish them all the best,” Deepset revealed in the post.
