With all the heat on Neelofa after several reports of her violating the Covid-19 SOPs made its way to the public, these past few weeks has been an eventful one for her.
Most recently, the admin to the globally-known luxury crystal stone manufacturer, Swarovski’s Twitter account has confirmed that the company is no longer working with the actress-turned-entrepreneur!
This came as a response to one Twitter user who questioned about Swarovski’s current status of their collab with the local starlet. The commentator, @azba95, wrote, “If Neelofa is a Korean artist, the brands that she’s the ambassador of would have terminated her contracts immediately. Hello @swarovski.”
The male netizen’s tweet had since gone viral, with over 5.3k retweets at the time of writing (Friday, 30th April). Refusing to stay silent about it, Swarovski then left a reply that read, “Thank you for reaching out. We can confirm that we’re no longer working with Neelofa.”
In case you don’t know, Neelofa became the world’s first hijab-clad public figure to be featured on a billboard for the branded jewellery and crystal decorations label since 2017. Not only that, the collab project had also brought Neelofa to travel to several countries around the world, including the UAE and Austria.
It was also revealed that the “Next To Neelofa” host’s wedding dress was embellished with 5,000 Swarovski crystals! The custom-tailored gown was designed with a “Greek goddess” concept in mind, along with a veil inspired by an Arabian hood.
Update:
Not long after the news about her alleged “termination” came to light, Neelofa has personally confirmed that she’s no longer an ambassador for Swarovski. The “Kau Yang Terindah” actress wrote on her Twitter, “Salam. My contract with Swarovski did end back in December 2020, but we still have a good relationship and will remain that way. Hope this clarified.”
