On 23rd September last year, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the PRIHATIN Supplementary Initiative Package (Kita Prihatin) for Malaysians. The package is meant to ease cash flow challenges and purchase of daily necessities.
The second instalment of the cash aid, Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0 (BPN 2.0), will begin on 21st and 25th January.

Existing recipients will receive the remainder of the promised cash amount according to the following income groups. The B40 group will receive it on the 21st while the M40 group will receive theirs on the 25th.
- B40 families with an income of RM4,000 and below will receive RM300.
- B40 individuals with an income of RM2,000 and below will receive RM150.
- M40 families with an income between RM4,001 and RM8,000 will receive RM200.
- M40 individuals with an income between RM2,001 and RM4,000 will receive RM100.

New approvals who applied or appealed between 15th October to 15th November last year will receive the total amount in one instalment. The cash payment will be credited directly into the recipients’ registered bank accounts.
If no bank account was registered, recipients can collect their payments from Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches starting 25th January. For recipients in Sabah and Sarawak without bank accounts, payments can be collected from early February to 1st April. The locations will be announced at the end of January.
