Please tell us that this isn’t true! Ben & Jerry’s has officially shut down their one and only store in Malaysia at Sunway Pyramid, after 15 months of operation.
The American dessert chain announced on its official social media accounts that they will be “transitioning out” of our country after facing some setbacks during the pandemic.

The announcement reads, “After careful consideration of our business and the challenges of operating in the country during a global pandemic, we regret to inform you of our decision to transition out of Malaysia. Our Scoop Shop in Sunway Pyramid has closed.”
“We want to thank our beloved fans, to anyone who’s ever enjoyed our products, visited our Scoop Shop and took part in any of our activities in Kuala Lumpur. Lastly, we want to thank our employees and partners who have helped made our journey fun, memorable and meaningful,” they added in their statement.

For the uninitiated, Ben & Jerry’s outlet in Sunway Pyramid was launched back on 2nd September 2019, where they treated sweet-toothed Malaysians with 10,000 free scoops of ice-cream to commemorate the grand opening.
Some of their most popular flavours include Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, Cherry Garcia, Triple Caramel Chunk, Super Fudge Chunk, and also Tonight Dough.
