S. Pavithra has been ordered to submit an official letter to withdraw the charges made against her husband M. Sugu.
The order was issued by Judge Norashima Khalid during the re-mentioning of the alleged abuse case involving the YouTube couple. For the uninitiated, the former estate worker was accused of causing injury to his wife last month.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Liyana Zawani Mohd Radzi previously informed the court that the mother-of-two wanted to drop the case. The court then set the re-mentioning of the case to be held on 8th September.
Sugu was charged for causing injuries to Pavithra’s lips, left cheek and right arm by using a mobile phone and a sickle. The incident occurred at the parking lot of Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) in Ipoh between 4pm and 5pm on 21st July.
Judge Norashima also set the same date as the re-mentioning of the case for Sugu’s alleged possession of a dangerous weapon, namely a 66 centimetre sickle with the word “Tiger” written on it on the exact same day and location, at about 6pm.
The 28-year-old housewife was spotted at the courtyard with her youngest son, showing their support to Sugu throughout the procedure.
