Congratulations are in order for our Health DG Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah! Our Malaysian hero is now a “Tan Sri” as of today!
Earlier today (Monday, 17th August), the Sepang-born medical surgeon was awarded the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM), which carries the aforementioned title. This was in conjunction with YDPA Sultan Abdullah’s birthday.
Dr. Noor Hisham remained humble in expressing his feelings after receiving the award. He wrote on his Facebook post, “Alhamdulillah. This is an honour given to all frontliners from the Health Ministry. This also symbolises the trust and appreciation given by the government towards the civil society.”

In fact, a few local celebs also left their congratulatory remarks include Neelofa and also Muar MP Syed Saddiq. As a result, the term “Tan Sri” is currently a trending topic on Twitter.
