Happy birthday to you, Tun Dr. Mahathir! The former Prime Minister turns 95 today (Friday, 10th July).
Many Malaysians have been flooding social media with warm wishes in conjunction with his special day. Surprisingly, fellow ex-PM Datuk Seri Najib Razak chimed in!
“Happy 95th birthday, sir. May Tun Dr. Mahathir be blessed with grace, peace, health and a long life,” Najib wrote on the caption. At the time of writing, his post has gained over 11,000 likes and 4,000 retweets on Twitter.
As you may know, the government led by Najib was taken over by Tun M’s party Pakatan Harapan (PH) following the 14th General Election. As a result, Tun M returned to serve as a Prime Minister for the 2nd time, before officially resigning earlier this year.
Despite differing opinions on politics, it’s really nice that Najib didn’t miss the opportunity to send a warm birthday wish to Tun M.
