One user known as @brothertoba wrote, “No hairnet, no apron, no gloves, and she’s not even wearing her shoes. Did she even had typhoid injections before this?” Not only that, Alicia was heavily criticised for her inappropriate choice of outfit! The local starlet was also frowned upon for not wearing a face mask.
Scrolling through the comments, it’s no surprise that the controversial figure ended up receiving massive amount of backlash for her ignorant action. Check out some of their comments here:
Seemingly impacted by the negative criticisms received, Alicia then uploaded a lengthy statement on her “Rendang Tok Raja Lapar” official Instagram. She opened by apologising to everyone for “overlooking certain safety aspects”.
Not only that, Alicia pointed out that it was unfair for people to “politicised” her for selling the Malay dish. According to the “Meh Sandar Pada Aku” actress, non-Malays also enjoyed her home-cooked rendang as well.
