Malaysian actor Riz Amin recently underwent a hair transplant treatment at a famous anaesthetic clinic in Kuala Lumpur, just a few days after Hari Raya celebration.
According to Riz (full name Norizam Amin Nordin), he has been planning to seek treatment for his ongoing hair loss problem since January this year.
Speaking to Gempak, the 35-year-old said, “Actually, I have been planning to do the treatment at the start of the year. However, the plan got pushed back due to filming commitments and we had the enforcement of the movement control order (MCO) after that.”
“The purpose for me to undergo the procedure was to treat my hair loss problem, especially at the front of my head. I’ve tried tons of products, but it only strengthened the existing hair roots instead of growing back the bald areas,” Riz further added.
The “Polis Evo” actor also revealed that a total of 4,083 strands of his hair were taken from the back of his head to be re-implanted at the front part, with each pieces of hair costs RM6. If you do the math, it’ll total up to RM24,500. Additionally, it will take about 6 or 7 months for his locks to grow back.
“For me, the investment is worth it for my appearance as well as regaining my confidence in acting,” Riz clarified, before adding, “Every person will have their own opinion. But for me, this procedure is necessary. It’s not that I’m stealing these hair from other people.”
Riz concluded, “I still have to seek periodic treatment at the clinic and continue to take prescribed tonics and medications. Hopefully this treatment will be a success within the next few months.”
All the best 🙂
