Earlier this evening (Thursday, 7th May), the Ministry of Health (MoH) had identified yet another new cluster in the Klang Valley.
This time, 10 security guards who work in a mall in Cheras have been tested positive for Covid-19. It was confirmed that out of the aforementioned 10, 9 of them involved Nepalese while the other is a Malaysian.

In a daily briefing, Health director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced that all of the Nepalese were living in the same place in Cheras. 436 people have been tested so far. From that number, 10 came out positive, and 347 were negative. The remaining 79 individuals are still pending.
Dr Noor Hisham also added that the cause of the cluster has not been identified yet as investigations are still being carried out. Having said that, a lot of people are confusing this Cheras mall for MyTown Shopping Centre.
According to netizens in the comments, the Cheras mall with the new cluster is NSK at Jalan Peel. No official word yet if the area has been classified as a red zone. Some suspect that the Covid-19 patient from MyTown Shopping Centre lives at NSK Jalan Peel and that’s how the spread started.
Let’s wait for the official confirmation from MoH. Until then, avoid leaving your house unless necessary.
