ERA fm’s radio announcer Radin Amir Effendi announced via Instagram yesterday his plans to help the frontliners and those affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Unlike other fundraising methods done by individuals or organisations, Radin shared that he is selling some of his shoe collection. And the best part is, the proceeds will go straight to his fund to help the needy.

“Assalamualaikum, we’re currently in the 3rd phase of the movement control order (MCO). I know, a lot of people are overwhelmed, not to mention some have lost their source of income for themselves and the rest of their family members. So, I thought of auctioning off some of my collection and 100% of the profits will be donated to the needy. The money will also be used to help buy basic necessities like hand sanitisers and face masks for frontliners,” the ERA D’boyz announcer wrote.
Based on the clip posted by him, Radin may also be selling off a few pairs of his beloved Yeezy brand shoes in addition to several other models – namely Nike and New Balance. The 30-year-old further added that some of the shoes have not been worn yet, and he will state the condition of each pair before starting the auction online.
The session was held last night on his Instagram Live, as pointed out by Radin. According to his recent update on Instagram Story, the charity auction managed to gather a total of RM10,075!
Congrats and kudos to Radin on his amazing effort.
