Covid-19 Red Zones Increase To 11 Locations; 7 Orange Zones Identified

Putrajaya has officially imposed a full 2-week lockdown 2 areas in Kluang to prevent the Covid-19 infection from getting worse.

Starting today (Friday, 27th March), those living in Kampung Dato’ Ibrahim Majid and Bandar Baharu Dato’ Ibrahim Majid will be subjected to house curfew. All entry points are blocked and non-locals aren’t allowed in.

This morning, the Ministry Of Health (MoH) also posted an updated on the Covid-19 red zones. From 6 locations earlier this week, that number has since increase to 11 areas (those living here are advised to take extra precaution).

The current red zone areas are:

  1. Lembah Pantai – 167 cases
  2. Petaling Jaya – 167 cases
  3. Hulu Langat – 132 cases
  4. Seremban – 78 cases
  5. Johor Bahru – 68 cases
  6. Kluang – 54 cases
  7. Gombak – 53 cases
  8. Titiwangsa – 49 cases
  9. Kota Bahru – 48 cases
  10. Hilir Perak – 48 cases
  11. Kinta – 41 cases

In addition to the aforementioned, Health Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah also took to his Facebook to share the 7 other locations in the orange zones.

  1. Kepong – 38 cases
  2. Klang – 35 cases
  3. Batu Pahat – 29 cases
  4. Kuala Muda – 28 cases
  5. Seberang Perai – 23 cases
  6. Timur Laut – 20 cases
  7. Rembau – 20 cases

The latest reports on Covid-19 red zones are:

  • Lembah Pantai (219)
  • Hulu Langat (209)
  • Seremban (108)
  • Johor Bahru (105)
  • Kluang (97)
  • Kuching (78)
  • Kota Bahru (76)
  • Kinta (75)
  • Kepong (68)
  • Klang (62)
  • Gombak (59)
  • Titiwangsa (57)
  • Tawau (57)
  • Hilir Perak (52)

According to MoH, 60% of the total cases come from these 15 red zones. As for the orange zones there are now 12 zones nationwide:

  • Batu Pahat in Johor (36)
  • Lahad Datu in Sabah (34)
  • Kota Kinabalu in Sabah (30)
  • Seberang Perai Tengah in Penang (30)
  • Kuala Muda in Kedah (30)
  • Cheras in Kuala Lumpur (28)
  • Timur Laut in Penang (27)
  • Jerantut in Pahang (27)
  • Rembau in Negri Sembilan (26)
  • Putrajaya (22)
  • Kota Setar in Kedah (22)
  • Pekan in Pahang (20)
