Mark O’dea is rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers now?
The British-born Malaysian influencer is known for producing entertaining parodies (e.g.: boba tea, haze) and misheard lyrics. His latest video featuring popular childhood snack Mamee Monster apparently even got Justin Bieber’s attention!
The 28-year-old took to his Instagram last night (Tuesday, 4th February) to share his surreal experience:
“Words cannot describe this ? I thought one of my mates was pranking me when I got the email from Bieber’s Management that he heard my song & wanted to fly me down to LA (Thanks to everyone for tagging him in the video cos it actually worked & he saw it!)
Never felt so starstruck in my life when I met him & I really can’t describe how humble Justin is in person …wow what a guy??? The video will be out real soon for all you beliebers and you can see what he thinks about local Malaysian snacks!
Still can’t belieb that this actually happened…but sometimes you have to just work hard & belieb in yourself.”
Here’s the full parody for “Yummy”:
It’s cute that the pop star even colour coordinate with Mark on their video collab. Or did he? Mark later came clean about his prank here:
