The sweet couple has finally gotten engaged in a ceremony held on Saturday (28th December) evening.
Marini’s sister Didi took to her Instagram account to share with her followers photos of the lovebirds and her sister during the event. “Last night my sister casually gave us a new family member,” she wrote on the caption.
She further added by writing, “Congrats on the ‘official engagement’ you guys. Welcome to the family @flizzow (Joe). Thanks Nuna (Marini) for mentally prepping me for this day in advance…phewfff.”

Meanwhile, the Subang born rapper’s mother Aishah Ali has shared some deets on the couple’s plans on walking down the aisle. The former NST reporter said that even though the exact date is still yet to be decided, both of them are planning to tie the knot early next year. “According to our plan, the wedding will be held on April next year. Please pray that everything will go well,” Aishah told Berita Harian.
Furthermore, Aishah shared that the 40-year-old wants to focus on his expanding career at the moment, “Joe once told me that he’s very serious about his music. He even wants to bring his talents across the States, even though it wasn’t as easy as he thought.
“He finally achieved his dream after he was appointed as the Managing Director of Def Jam South East Asia,” said Aishah. For those in the dark, the ex-Too Phat member made history when he became the first ever local act to sign under renowned hip hop label Def Jam.
Joe and Marini have been dating since 2016, though they have known each other for the past 15 years.
