Is everyone ready for next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)?
Well buckle up, cause Disney has just release a massive slate of highly-anticipated movies that are expected to hit theatres between now till 2027. That also includes 8 new Marvel films!
Following the recent box office smash “Avengers: Endgame”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” will swing into cinemas this July. So how long do we need to wait for the next Marvel blockbuster? Unfortunately, it’ll take a little longer than what we are used to.
There will be 2 MCU films for 2020, and subsequently 3 each for 2021 and 2022. Although these are categorised as “untitled Marvel film”, we have an idea of what to expect for Marvel’s future releases.
- 1st May 2020
- 6th November 2020
- 12th February 2021
- 7th May 2021
- 5th November 2021
- 18th February 2022
- 6th May 2022
- 29th July 2022
While we are uncertain about the sequence of what Marvel movie will be released first, our guess include:
- “Black Widow”
- “The Eternals” (which may feature Angelina Jolie and “Game of Thrones” star Richard Madden)
- “Doctor Strange 2”
- “Black Panther 2”
- “Shang-Chi“
- “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” (seeing the return of James Gunn to the director’s chair and possibly Chris Hemsworth as Thor)
- “Captain Marvel 2”
Of course, at some point Marvel will be integrating the newly acquired X-Men characters as well as the Fantastic Four family. In the meantime, take the look at Disney’s full release schedule through 2027.
