Fashion icon and celebrity Scha Alyahya has teamed up with local shoe designer Christy Ng to release a limited collection of shoes and handbags for Raya 2019.
As a mother and working woman, Scha is looking for the 3 C’s when it comes to fashion – comfort, convenient and chic. Scha x Christy Ng collection not only features modern and minimalist design but also emphasises on quality, comfort and practicality.
Designed in a timeless classic silhouette, the Leda pumps which is named after an Aetolian princess who became a Spartan queen, symbolises the characteristic of a strong woman. It is also the name of a movie character which Scha loves.
Made from Malaysian rubber, this pointy pump is crafted from soft microfiber and is elegantly finished with subtle piping along the V-cut vamp. This design sits on a comfortable 2.5-inch cylindrical block heel and threaded outsole.
“The Leda pump is all about comfort and stability because mums like Scha needs to be able to carry her daughter with ease and still be able to walk with comfort,” Christy Ng commented.
Meanwhile, the Cali bag which comes in 3 sizes – the Cali Handbag, Cali Mini and Cali Micro-mini, is named after California, one of Scha Alyahya’s favourite places and also her honeymoon spot.
The handbag also features symmetrical sash bow in hexagonal knots at the sides which are finished with brushed metal hardware. It comes with adjustable and detachable shoulder straps for a perfect balance between fashion and practicality.
“I love the fact that the Cali bag comes in micro mini size as I can play dress up with my daughter Lara,” Scha Alyahya said.
The collection is now available at all Christy Ng stores nationwide, as well as online platform. The entire collection is proudly produced and handmade in Malaysia by our local artisans.
The Leda pumps retail at RM199 while the Cali Handbag, Cali Mini and Cali Micro-mini collection retail at RM209, RM199 and RM109 respectively. Both shoes and bags are available in 12 choices of colours.
