To celebrate our new Malaysia, a brand new festival of hope will be held from 14th to 26th September 2018 in conjunction with this year’s Malaysia Day.
Dubbed as Pesta Harapan Malaysia, the event is to promote the role of Youths in nation building, and it will feature various activities including a music concert by famous and rising performers, a 5km midnight run, debate and discussion, workshop, and also an e-sports tournament.

The highlight of the festival is the Unity Concert on 15th September, which will be headlined by rock trio Estranged, pop-rock band Bunkface, Mandapop star Dr. Soo Wincci, R&B sensation Jaclyn Victor, “The Voice of China” contestant Melody Tan, 4-piece rock outfit Mad August, and indie alternative Couple.
Up and coming stars such as Jess Lee, Rynn Lim, Meer Nash, Pinky Loo, Pink Tan, Shoba Janardanan, Sly Squad, and Mad Sally will also be performing at the event, and local comedians Kavin Jay and Papi Zak will serve as the festival’s MCs.
Estranged has recently unveiled the theme song for the festival titled “Bangkit”, which speaks about rising above adversity and holding true to one’s promises.

Aside from the concert, Pesta Harapan Malaysia will feature 4 other key events – a Youth Townhall Discussion on Policies (14th Sep), an LED Harapan run (16th Sep), a World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) tournament (21st – 23rd Sep) and the ALIBABA entrepreneurship summit (25th – 26th Sep).
