Have you heard? The first Aori Ramen restaurant in Malaysia is finally open for business today (Saturday, 9th June).
BIGBANG’s maknae (youngest member) Seungri (승리) made the announcement last November that he was bringing his South Korean famous Japanese ramen joint to our country. Local foodies can now find out what all the fuss is about when they visit Aori Ramen.
Located at the top floor of Pavilion KL, Aori Ramen gave us the impression that we were entering a legit South Korean restaurant. In addition to 2 VIP rooms, the venue also has numerous cubicles (great for introverts like me) that allows you to store your belongings. According to the owner, Pavilion’s Aori Ramen can take in up to 60 customers per session.
Here, customers will get the chance to taste Aori Ramen’s signature main dish – the Don Kotz Ramen. The pork bones soup is both rich and flavourful, and it comes with their 1.1mm Hoso noodles. It comes with the basic toppings of barbecued marinated pork and Japanese bunching onion.
Unfortunately, that’s the only option available for the time being. Patrons can either opt for the Aori Ramen lite (RM31) or the Aori Ramen (RM35). The latter dish comes with additional marinated soft boiled egg, dried seaweed, and marinated bamboo shoot.
Fret not though, the side menu offers another speciality. TKG, or tamago kake gohan, is a traditional Japanese staple that comes with white rice, an egg yolk and Aori Ramen’s special topping. You can also ask for more add-ons such as Korean-leek kimchi (RM3) and beansprout (RM3).
