9th May (this coming Wednesday) is set to be a momentous day for Malaysians. No, it’s not because Bruno Mars is coming to perform. Most of us are anticipating the 14th Malaysian general election (GE14/ PRU14) that will effect the entire nation.

To celebration this occasion, several food franchises have decided to treat Malaysian voters with some yummilicious special offerings. Who doesn’t like being offered free food and drinks right? Once you’ve fulfil your duty as a citizen, go treat yourself by showing your “inked finger” as proof.

1. The BIG Group

Free Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik anyone?

“Show us your inked finger and enjoy Nasi Lemak and Teh Tarik on us. No strings attached! Limited to the first 200 redemptions at participating outlets only,” reads the statement by The BIG Group.

To ease things, here are the participating outlets under The BIG Group:

  • Plan B – Publika, Midvalley, Ipoh
  • Ben’s – Pavilion, KLCC, Gardens, Publika, BSC
  • Ben’s General Food Store (BGFS) – Batai, GLO, Publika

2. Meet Mee

3. EPiC Fit Meals Co

“I realised a lot of people around me are not interested in voting. So, I thought to myself, what better way to encourage them than (with) free burgers,” co-founder of EPiC Fit Meals Co. Lai Wick Kee was quoted as saying.

Adopting the tagline, “If you care enough to vote, we care enough to give you a free burger”, all voters can opt to dine-in or take-away a free ‘chummy’ burger. Get your hands on a free burger at either Damansara Perdana, Bandar Sunway, or Mont Kiara between 11am to 10:30pm while stocks last.

4. Dave’s Deli Malaysia

The eatery will be giving out 500 bowls (each bowl cost RM11) at Taman Berkeley and Taman Sentosa.

6. San Francisco Coffee Co.
