Azealia Banks Posts Rape Claim On Instagram

Azealia Banks has stepped forward with disturbing claims of a sexual assault.

On 14th April, the singer went on Instagram to record her ordeal, stating that she “lowkey just got raped” and “feel like dirt”.

In her Instastory, which has since been deleted, she explained that “we were just hanging out and one thing led to another”. She proceeded to blame herself, saying that it was “partially her fault” and calling herself a “dummy”.

“I just wanna f**king disappear right now, I feel really bad. (…) I don’t think I can put up any more music right now. (…) I don’t really know what the f**k just happened, like I can’t even think about shit right now,” the rapper shared.

She then went into detail about how difficult it is to face fans again after having to go through this.

Banks then said, “This rape shit, you know. Men can just prey on you and just fucking badger you and force you to say ‘yes’ (…) You feel like you gave consent, but you didn’t give shit. You never wanted to do shit, but there you are, feeling fucking powerless. Somebody really got the fucking best of me, and I’m just so unsure how they got it.”

A few hours later, she assured fans that she was fine and the situation was “under control”.

In a previous Instastory, she wrote, “I’m awake and walking y’all!! I’m good!! Like I said.. IT TAKES A LOT TO TAKE THIS ELEPHANT DOWN!! Show is still on for tomorrow.. See y’all then!!!”

However, in her latest Instastory, she alleged that she was roofied. She said, “What is even in a roofie? I’ve never felt that type of intoxication in my life. I woke up my throat was in pins and needles.”

Banks is set to release a new album titled “Fantasea II: The Second Wave” this year, but we’re sure fans will be understanding enough if she puts it on hold to heal herself.
