Zac Efron is determine to shed his pretty boy image and prove that he’s capable of much, much more.
Usually playing hunky heartthrobs, the former High School Musical Star is upping his game by portraying a wicked serial killer ‘Ted Bundy’ in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (yep that’s a really long movie title).
Yesterday, Zac took to Twitter to unveil the first look of himself portraying Ted Bundy. “Meet Ted,” the caption read. He chose a black and white filter for the photo, foreshadowing the dark and brooding nature of the film.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile narrated from the perspective of Bundy’s girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (played by Lily Collins), who stayed on in the relationship and was in denial that her boyfriend was a serial killer. Eventually, she broke down and reported him to the police.
Oscar-nominee Joe Berlinger is in charge of directing the film, which has just began shooting in January.
