Jacky Cheung To Hold 2 Concerts In Malaysia In January 2018

Since teasing the return of a “Heavenly King” 2 months ago, local concert organiser Star Planet (星艺娱乐) has finally confirmed that Jacky Cheung (张学友) will be returning to Malaysia next year.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch the Hong Kong music superstar’s “A Classic Tour”, this is your opportunity. The 56-year-old singer will be holding 2 back-to-back concerts at the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil (previously Putra Indoor Stadium) in January 2018.

Dubbed the “God of Songs” of Hong Kong, the “Heavenly King” crooner is known for his rich baritone voice and has released numerous hits such as “Everlasting Love” (只想一生跟你走), “Goodbye Kiss” (吻别), and “Your First Name, My Last Name” (妳的名字,我的姓氏).

His most recent album, titled “Wake Up Dreaming” (醒著做夢), was released in December 2014. It achieved spectacular sales records, topping iTunes chart within one week of its release. The physical album was sold out in Malaysia, resulting in additional orders from recording label, Universal Music Malaysia. Furthermore, it consists of 10 tracks including “The Rest Of Time”, “It’s Not Too Late”, and “Tears Of Time”.

The details to Cheung’s 2018 edition of “A Classic Tour” are as follows:

  • Date: 26th & 27th January 2018
  • Time: 8pm
  • Venue: Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil
  • Ticketing: RM988, RM888, RM748, RM618, RM488, RM368, RM258 (subject to
    RM3 booking fee)

Ticket sales will be available from 21st October onwards via www.myticket.asia. Meanwhile, ticket sales at authorised outlets will begin on 22nd October from 11 am onwards.
