In honour of Linkin Park’s late frontman Chester Bennington, REVOFEV – a youth collective for music and the arts – is hosting a tribute show at The Bee, Publika on 18th August (Friday).
The event will feature Malaysian bands Sekumpulan Orang Gila (SOG), Kyoto Protocol, Patriots, Scarlet Heroes, as well as Night Skies & Visions performing their renditions of Linkin Park’s most iconic tracks.
41-year-old Chester Bennington took his own life on 20th July. He was found dead at his home in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles. His death was later confirmed by a Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner spokesperson, who said that the singer hanged himself in his bedroom.
Famed for his piercing scream and tattoos, the rock star first shot to fame as a vocalist following the release of Linkin Park’s debut album, titled “Hybrid Theory”, in 2000. The album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2005, making it the best-selling debut album of the decade.
To date, the nu-metal band has released several albums including “Meteora” (2003), “Minutes to Midnight” (2007), “A Thousand Suns” (2010), “Living Things” (2012), “The Hunting Party” (2014), and most recently, “One More Light” (2017).
