Malaysian darling Yuna is back! And this time, she’s a feature artiste on TOKiMONSTA’s “Don’t Call Me”.
The soulful new track is sort of a crossover between electronic music and R&B. It’s relaxed, slow, and sensual. Moreover, the soothing yet infectious beats complements Yuna’s beautiful vocals extremely well.
“Don’t call me no more, no more,” sings the Kedah-born songstress in the chorus.
For those who are not familiar with TOKiMONSTA, real name Jennifer Lee, she’s a Korean-American music producer. Her stage name refers to the words “toki” (which means rabbit in Korean) and monster.
She has collaborated with numerous singers such as Thirsty Fish, Kool Keith, MNDR, and Anderson Park. Besides that, she has remixed tracks by Andreya Triana, Daedelus, and Justin Timberlake. The DJ was also rated the #1 Hottest Los Angeles Lady DJ by LA Weekly in 2010.
